About Wills 2 Succeed

Wills 2 Succeed was formed in 2004 by its Director, Mark Lazell. Mark qualified as a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1996 whilst employed by C&G Building Society. Mark has also gained extensive experience in the Financial Services industry working firstly for Britannic Assurance and then HSBC Bank.

Many people are unaware that the Will Writing profession is unregulated. Anyone can set themselves up as a Will Writer. Amazingly, there is no requirement for a Will Writer to have any qualifications, experience or insurance cover. We believe this is wrong; clients paying for a service should have confidence that their adviser has sufficient knowledge and expertise to provide the right advice. Sometimes, what is more worrying is when advisers lack sufficient knowledge to know when something is out of their depth!

Mark has obtained Fellowship of the Institute of Professional Willwriters (IPW). The IPW was founded in 1991 as a self-regulatory body to safeguard the public from unqualified practitioners and unethical business practices and has become established as the recognised professional body regulating and promoting the profession of Willwriting.
